COVID 19

As per government regulations, all guests dining and all staff working in Queensland restaurants are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID 19. You will be asked to check in with our QR code and display proof of vaccination upon entering our restaurant. Those who are unable to provide proof of vaccination will be unable to dine. 

You can add your COVID 19 digital certificate to the Check In Qld app. The updated version of the app allows you to check in and display your vaccination status at the same time. visit the QLD government website for instructions: https://www.covid19.qld.gov.au/check-in-qld/digital-vaccination-certificate

Should  the restaurant need to close or is unable to accommodate your reservation due to COVID related restrictions (including but not limited to lockdown on the Gold Coast or government regulations reducing capacity) or reduced staffing due to covid close contact isolation requirements, then your booking will be cancelled. We apologise in advance should this happen and ask for your understanding regarding this matter as the current COVID 19 situation is changing daily and is out of our control. We do not accept any responsibility for losses incurred due to this type of cancellation. 

 

The entire team at Gods of the Sea is doing everything we can to keep our community, guests and staff safe, including ensuring that we are abiding by density and social distancing rules and having a strict COVID-safe plan in place. Cancellations

To secure your reservation, you will be asked to provide your credit card details.  Please note, your credit card will not be charged, unless in the event of a 'no-show' where you have not notified the restaurant of your cancellation or reduction in the number of guests with a minimum of 24 hours notice, upon which a $50 per person cancellation fee will be incurred.

Food Allergens

Please inform us of any food allergies for you or your guests when making your reservation and again upon arriving at our restaurant. Our staff are trained to assist in choosing suitable menu items and will also inform the kitchen. While our team takes all food allergy concerns very seriously, please note that our kitchen does include the most common allergens: celery, cereals containing gluten, crustaceans (such as prawns, crabs and lobsters), eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs (such as mussels and oysters), mustard, peanuts, sesame, soybeans, sulphur dioxide and sulphites, and tree nuts (such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios and macadamia nuts). While every precaution will be taken, Gods of the Sea will not accept any responsibility should you choose to dine and suffer an allergic reaction whilst dining with us. 

Children 

Children are more than welcome to dine at Gods of the Sea, but please be aware we do not offer a children's menu and that no reduction in size or price is available. Please note, we do not offer high chairs and all children must be seated whilst dining or accommodated in a pram. 

Dinner reservations including children under 12 years of age will not be accepted after 6pm. 

Table Allocation

Whilst all requests for outside or a "table with a view" are considered, Gods of the Sea is unable to guarantee table allocations. 

Length of Reservation 

All reservations are for a 2 hour time period. Should you be running late please inform the restaurant as soon as possible. Should we not hear from you, due to current limited seating capacity we will be unable to hold the reservation longer than 15 minutes and will release the table to walk ins. Should you prefer a longer seating, we recommend to book for lunch after 2pm or for dinner after 7:30pm. 

Dress Code

Our dress code policy is smart casual, no swimwear, tank tops or flip flops accepted.  

 

Mobile Phones 

Out of respect for other diners, we kindly request you refrain from using mobile phones whilst dining and keep your ring tone on silent.

Public Holidays 

A 15% surcharge will be added to the bill for all bookings on public holidays
