We may not stock your favourite international wine, beer or beverage, but ask our knowledgeable team and they will be happy to suggest one of the many thoughtfully chosen locally made alternatives.
With the recent addition of our in-house recycling program to lower landfill waste, our team are dedicated to using the best possible waste management alternatives to compliment our eco friendly philosophy.
Executive Chef Jon Nurminen
Hailing from Finland, Jon Nurminen discovered cooking at a young age but had no initial desire of becoming a chef. After finishing his schooling, he soon found a strong connection with food and started a chefs apprenticeship which inspired him to travel and work abroad.
After arriving in Australia in 2014, Jon moved to the Gold Coast and landed a job at the iconic and unfortunately now closed, The Fish House in Burleigh Heads. While working there for five years and later becoming their head chef, Jon developed a great appreciation of Australian seafood and built strong relationships with local artisan producers, growers and local fisherman.
Now, following his passion of Finnish cooking techniques and applying these to Australian fish and other seafoods, Jon, along with front of house business partner Warren Lucas together deliver a uniquely creative menu, served simply, in an attentive, yet casual dining environment, decorated in a modern Australian style, with some Scandinavian influence of course.
